Do you have an overflowing wardrobe, but nothing to wear?

When it comes to styling, the ‘how’ is just as important as the ‘what’.

So often, magazines and fashion experts are so ready to focus on the ‘new’ and the ‘must-have’ pieces that it’s easy to lose track of what makes you feel good in something and what makes you want to wear it again and again. After fifteen years working as a fashion stylist on magazines, I want to share with you the tricks of the trade that I have learnt, to help you make the most of you in the real world.

Whilst you may be thinking that being on a magazine dressing models and celebrities doesn’t make me qualified to dress ‘real’ women and men, let me – politely – disagree. Not only am I personally on the short side (5’6”), curvy (a size 12 on a good day) and possess a bosom to rival Katie Price’s, I have also become exceedingly adept at styling other people of all shapes and sizes. Getting someone camera ready is about finding an outfit that suits them. And by that, I mean one that accentuates their best bits and that draws the eye away from the bits that are loved that little bit less. Styling is about finding outfits that make you feel confident all the time, not just ones that tick a ‘new-season’ box.

Sure, yes, that can involve buying new clothes, but my focus is on teaching you how to dress to make the most of you. This will not only help you to make the best choices when shopping, we will also hopefully re-discover the gems that are already in your wardrobe. Fashion is not just about trends: it’s about what makes you feel good and gives you the confidence to go about your day knowing you look good, too.

So how does it work?

SERVICES

SHAPE & STYLING CONSULTATION

Do you find yourself making purchases, perhaps inspired by friends or stylish people you encounter but wondering why they don’t quite seem to work on you? After filling in a comprehensive questionnaire focussing on your body shape and measurements, we’ll get together over Zoom, where I will explain to you all the shapes and styling tips that will make the most of your body. Following our session, you’ll have my completely bespoke styling guide on hand to help ensure dud purchases are a thing of the past.

Approximately 40-45mins; from anywhere over Zoom.

£150

WARDROBE EDIT

Most of us, at some stage, find our wardrobes overflowing with items that remain unworn, either because they don’t suit us, they don’t fit us, or we simply have never worked out how to wear them. In this session, together we’ll get to grips with your wardrobe. I’ll help you siphon the gems from the pieces that need re-homing, and help build go-to outfits to make daily dressing easy. I’ll also help you organise your wardrobe so that you can clearly see what you have and where any gaps in your wardrobe are.

2.5-3 hours; either over Zoom or in person if within the M25.

£250 over Zoom, or £300 in person.

VIRTUAL PERSONAL SHOPPING EDIT

For many of us - me included - a trip to the shops can be a stressful and depressing endeavour. Absent sizes, bad lighting in over-heated changing rooms, hit and miss stock, and the energy required to traipse around town with bags in tow, will leave even the hardiest shoppers feeling defeated and demoralised. The alternative, though, can be just as exhausting. Spending hours trawling endless websites for gems can be an arduous and wearying task. Instead, how about you leave it to me? Armed with your sizes, wardrobe requirements, and budget, I’ll sift through websites to find you the gems that will make you look and feel your best. I’ll then put them into a bespoke lookbook for you to peruse, purchase online and try on in the comfort of your own home. It’s personal shopping for the modern age.

£395 including two 30 minute Zoom sessions.

Or £450 when purchased with the Shape & Styling Consultation.

MEN’S STYLING & WARDROBE PACKAGE

My menswear package takes place over two sessions. The first session is spent over Zoom going through your wardrobe, establishing what you have, what you’re missing and what styles are needed to make the most hard-working contribution to your wardrobe. I’ll then go away and build a personalised shopping list, advising you on all the pieces required to help your wardrobe work as hard as you do. We’ll then come back together in person if London-based, or again over Zoom, to put together outfits with your new purchases and your existing wardrobe. Together, we’ll make getting dressed a pleasure, rather than a chore.

Two one hour sessions - the first over Zoom, the second with the option to be in person for London-based clients.

£450 over Zoom, or £500 in person.

BACK TO WORK PACKAGE

Returning to office life after a break, be it maternity leave, or just consistently working from home? Struggling to make sense of a changed body or a career pivot, or a wardrobe that just doesn’t work for your professional life? This package includes the full Shape & Styling Consultation examining specific features that compliment your figure in the first session followed by a personalised work wardrobe lookbook for you to make purchases from. Finally, we’ll come back together – over Zoom or in person if London-based – to work together to produce a wardrobe of outfits that can be relied upon to make dressing in the morning a breeze.

Two sessions: one of 40-45 minutes over Zoom, and the second of 1.5 hours with the option to be in-person if within London.

£450 over Zoom, or £500 in person.
